In the context of the 2016 international Warm Sweater Day, Miss Cindy’s sixth formers exchanged vegetarian recipes with Colegio San Rafael in Hellin. They used local products with a small ecological footprint.

The emphasis was on climate change during the guest classes that five teachers of our school gave at Waveren Hoërskool, our South African partner school. They cannot turn down the heat because they have no heating in their schools. The teachers did refer to air conditioning, which also consumes a lot of energy thus contributing to the greenhouse effect and global warming. The South African pupils also recorded their version of Nic Balthazar’s climate song.

In the context of the 2016 international Warm Sweater Day, the municipality of Ruiselede cooperated with the “Liceum Ogólnokształcące im Tadeuszain” in the Polish town of Krasnik. That is how the concept of Warm Sweater Day was introduced for the first time in Poland.
Benelux Warm Sweater Day + collection campaign for warm clothes

Altran Brussels participated in Warm Sweater Day and developed a project together with its sister company in Luxembourg. Altran Benelux also collected warm clothes for the underprivileged, which an organisation then distributed.
Exchange with 5 international partners

KAZMOS, the MOS working group of the secondary school in Zottegem used the digital Erasmus tool for network (E-twinning). KAZMOS was able to exchange research, knowledge and know-how with international partners to reduce CO2 emissions. The pupils were involved in the project with Skype sessions, info panels and videos.
KAZMOS Zottegem worked across several fields of education, in terms of language knowledge (exchanges) and natural sciences (experiments). They focused heavily on international cooperation, working with five international partners.
